During this project we made cardboard toys for the students at Explorer. What we did was that we drew what we wanted to build, I wanted to build a koala. After finishing that we draw our toy again but with shapes. Since this is a math project, we had to find the surface area and volume of our toy. But since my toy's body was an irregular shape, I had to "divide" it up into easier shapes like triangles, pentagons, hexagons, octagons, etc. The work was really hard but it all came through. I hope the kids at Explorer like the toys that we made them.
This is my write up for the project. All we had to was to describe what the project was, what we had to do, and all the steps we had to make to get to the final product.
